ILO holds meeting with constituents to review its Jordan Decent Work Country Programme

The ILO and its partners discuss findings of a review on its DWCP in Jordan as well as present plans for the remaining period of its implementation.
The ILO will meet with its partners to discuss findings of a review of its Jordan Decent Work Country Programme. The review, which covers all interventions planned and carried out from 2012-2014, analyses the programme’s effectiveness to-date as well as evaluates its relevance in light of new developments in the country.
The workshop will also provide a platform to discuss recommendations for improvements and an implementation plan for the remaining DWCP period in 2014 and 2015.
Representatives from the Ministry of Labour, the Jordan DWCP Tripartite Committee, focal points of the DWCP, among others will participate in the meeting – all of whom are working closely with the ILO to implement the DWCP for Jordan, which was launched in 2012 to support national initiatives aimed at reducing decent work deficits, and strengthening national capacity to mainstream decent work in social and economic policies.
