Under the patronage of Lebanon’s Minister of Labour Sejaan Azzi, the ILO Regional Office for Arab States and the Beyond Association for the protection of children will host a children’s funfair in the town of Saadnayel in Lebanon’s Beqaa valley on Friday 10 June from 9 am to 12pm.

The event, held ahead of the World Day against Child Labour on 12 June, will raise awareness on the dangers of child labour in agriculture – one of the worst forms of child labour. It will take place in an area of Lebanon where the phenomenon is widely prevalent, particularly following the influx of Syrian refugee families in recent years.
