ILO celebrates its 50th Anniversary with Nepal
On 14 December 2016, the ILO Country Office for Nepal celebrated 50 years of development partnership between Nepal and the ILO.
To mark the 50th anniversary, a series of activities were planned with the slogan “50 years Together for Social Justice” and organized by the ILO’s tripartite constituents, government, workers and employers.
At the high-level event, the Right Honourable Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Chief Guest delivered a special keynote address.
In addition, the youth event provided a platform to interact with the ILO Director-General on the ILO’s Future of Work initiative which stems from the need to note and address the implications of transformational changes in the world of work.
An exclusive interview of the ILO Director-General was broadcasted on the national Nepal Television on 15 December 2016.
