ILO 100 years – Journey for Social Justice: "Shared ideals of Ho Chi Minh and ILO towards decent work for all”

2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the ILO. As a main part of the Centenary Celebration, the ILO Country Office for Viet Nam and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (on behalf of tripartite constituents, which also include workers’ and employers’ organizations) will organize a high-level ILO Centenary Celebration.

By jointly organizing the event, the ILO and tripartite partners aim to:

Make Vietnamese citizens as well as tripartite actors to become better aware of significance of ILO’s work in the world and in Viet Nam for its contributions to the world peace and decent work for all;
Help Viet Nam’s leaders better recognize the shared ideals of Ho Chi Minh and ILO founders by jointly reflecting on historical trajectory and achievements of ILO and Viet Nam’s labour and social policy development;
To forge a new partnership and reaffirm tripartite commitment for decent work for all in the context of Viet Nam’s international integration by jointly reflecting key achievements, by identifying key labour market challenges, and also by stating joint efforts for decent work.

ILO Deputy Director General for Policy, Deborah Greenfield is expected to join the event.
