Enhancing school-to-work transition: An examination of the experiences and good practices of the Brazilian Apprenticeship System - Saint Lucia and The Bahamas

The objectives of the Seminar are to share more in-depth information on the experiences and good practices of the Brazilian Apprenticeship System as well as identify opportunities for further South-South Cooperation and Technical Assistance to Caribbean States by the Government of Brazil, in the area of School-to-work transitions.

These national Seminars, which will take place in Saint Lucia from 6-7 March 2017 and in The Bahamas from 9-10 March 2017, have been organized under the auspices of the ILO-Brazil South-South Cooperation Programme with the collaboration of the countries' local Department of Labour and Ministry of Education. They are the first in a series of missions to seven Caribbean Countries that are currently active Members of the Regional Initiative, Latin America and the Caribbean Free of Child Labour.

The objectives of the Seminars are:
  1. To share more in-depth information on the experiences and good practices of the Brazilian Apprenticeship System
  2. To identify opportunities for further South-South Cooperation and Technical Assistance to Caribbean States by the Government of Brazil, in the area of School to Work Transitions.
