Declaration of Trade Union Confederations Joint Commitment for National Social Security System Reform in Indonesia

The main objective of the event is to formally declare and disseminate this commitment to stakeholders and the public through a declaration by union leaders, a presentation, and a press conference.

As part of its effort to enhance trade unions' capacity for policy dialogue in Indonesia, the ILO's social protection programme has facilitated high-level discussions among ten trade union confederations since June 2025. On 20 January 2026, they agreed to submit a Joint Commitment for reforming Indonesia's national social protection system, including seven recommendations focusing on employment social protection reforms and ongoing dialogue throughout 2026.

The event, which offers simultaneous interpretation in English and Indonesian, is funded by Japan and the ILO.
