Consultation Workshop on What Works in Youth Employment: Sharing Policies from Asia and the Pacific

Funded by the Government of Japan, the Youth Employment Project “Analysis of youth employment policy and dissemination through global database and publications” selected 11 countries in Asia and the Pacific to collect information on national youth employment policies. The ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific invited tripartite constituents from three countries (Indonesia, Mongolia and Nepal) selected for the in-depth reviews to an event aimed at sharing the information and lessons learned from the project. The meeting helped participants to deepen their understanding of existing policies and best practices, which in turn would support policy-makers to make informed policy decisions to address the youth employment crisis efficiently. It also highlighted the potential opportunities in project development and strengthened the capacity of the constituents and key partners to take action for promoting decent youth employment across the region.
