Capacity Building Workshop for SCORE/SIYB Implementing Partners and Trainers
The capacity building workshop for the trainers and implementing partners of SCORE and SIYB to develop their broad understanding on ILO tripartite structure, its mandate and principles.
Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) and Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) programmes of ILO are similar to the extent that in both of these programmes the implementing partners (IPs) are responsible for the promotion, marketing and coordination of training delivery to potential budding entrepreneurs and improving existing micro and small enterprises. Further, the business development service providers trained by ILO on SCORE/SIYB methodologies are responsible for the effective delivery of SCORE and SIYB trainings to the SMEs and micro-enterprises respectively identified by the IPs. Being in the frontline, these trainers and the IPs have direct and regular interface with the beneficiaries and other field-level stakeholders, thus also donning the role of ILO ambassadors in the field.
It is obvious that the success of SCORE and SIYB in promoting decent work in SMEs and micro enterprises and its sustainability is highly dependent upon the effective communication, understanding and, most importantly, commitment to the ILO values and principles of the SCORE and SIYB trainers and IPs. Therefore, a 2-day joint capacity building workshop is being planned for the trainers and IPs of SCORE and SIYB on 25-26 September 2012 in Hotel Claridges, New Delhi to develop their broad understanding on ILO tripartite structure, its mandate and principles.
