Brazil–Jamaica knowledge exchange - Strategic labour inspections and integration of social protection for proactive responses for the prevention and elimination of child labour
This knowledge exchange is being facilitated as part of the ILO-Brazil South-South Cooperation Program which promotes technical collaboration among countries of the region and the sharing of the Brazilian experiences and good practices in data generation, labour inspection and local coordination between key actors to implement national policies to combat child labour.
The project seeks to provide targeted support for the Caribbean Member Countries of the Regional Initiative to meet their expressed needs for technical assistance to advance work on the issue of Child Labour, and through this mission, will allow for detailed technical workshops with local officials and stakeholders, representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations and other key institutions and stakeholder organizations in Jamaica.
