Book launch : Industrial symbiosis and productivity: The employment effects in developing countries

This book delves into the social dimensions of the circular economy, focusing on a specific approach known as “industrial symbiosis.” It examines how enterprises’ recycling activities, particularly those enhancing resource productivity, impact employment. The volume showcases the findings of a five-year research project led by the ILO from 2020 to 2024, spanning six countries in Africa and Latin America. Drawing on original primary and secondary data, the book highlights the positive employment effects of industrial symbiosis.
