BBJS Project Advisory Committee Mobilizes Interdisciplinary Knowledge Management System

The BBJS Project Advisory Committee (PAC) conducted its second meeting on 24 February 2022, agreed to set in motion three working groups that would chart the activities for: (a) monitoring COVID-OSH improvements at the workplaces of MSMEs and informal businesses; (b) addressing social protection issues of related to COVD-19 risks at and through workplaces; and (c) designing and operationalizing an interdisciplinary knowledge management system integrating data on epidemiology, labour inspection, COVID-OSH prevention at the workplace, social protection, and international best practices. Co-chaired by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Assistant Secretary Alvin Navarro. The PAC members also noted the project updates reported by the ILO project team and were encouraged to ensure participation of their organizations in upcoming events. Events to be launched in March/April include the Training of Trainers and of Entrepreneurs on COVID-OSH Second Promotional Webinar on Sustaining Competitive and Resilient Enterprises (SCORE) in cooperation with the Employers’ Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP); Training of Trainers on Financial Education; and Continuing Training of Trainers and of Entrepreneurs on Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB).
