Assessment Based National Dialogue (ABND): Island-wide Multi-partite Consultation (Visayas)
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) Country Office for the Philippines conducted the Social Protection ABND island-wide multi-partite consultations in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
The consultations aimed to generate insights at the local level on policy design gaps and implementation issues of social protection programmes including recommendations to address these concerns.
Participants of the consultations included the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, as well as members of Regional Development Councils, representatives of Regional Tripartite Industrial Peace Councils, Employers’ and Workers’ groups, National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) basic sectors and the United Nations agencies.
