ASEAN TRIANGLE Project’s Fourth Project Advisory Committee Meeting
The Project Advisory Committee (PAC) has met once a year since the inception of the ASEAN TRIANGLE Project. The project’s outputs are consistent with ASEAN priorities, targets and commitments, as reflected in the work plans of several regional processes such as the ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting and the ASEAN Committee on the Implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers.
The ASEAN TRIANGLE Project (ATP) will hold its Fourth Project Advisory Committee(PAC) Meeting on 17 March 2016 at Holiday Inn, Makati City. The PAC will be convened with objectives to:
- Share information on key accomplishments of ATP, good practices and lessons learned since 2014.
- Present and discuss the preliminary findings of the project’s final evaluation.
- Present and validate ATP’s Phase II Concept Paper.
The event will be composed of the ATP team from ILO Manila, ILO Jakarta and the ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, as well as representatives from the labour ministries of Malaysia and Myanmar, the ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN Trade Union Council, ASEAN Confederation of Employers and the Task Force on ASEAN Migrant Workers. Officials from the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade will also be attending.
