A series of 8 webinars to support Caribbean Trade Unions
ACTRAV's support for trade unions in the Caribbean: Promoting decent work and social protection to address economic, demographic and ecological transformations
In order to support trade unions in the Caribbean to effectively advocate for decent work, and universal access to comprehensive, adequate and sustainable social protection systems that are shock-responsive, and adapted to the developments in the world of work, ILO-ACTRAV is carrying out a series of eight virtual capacity-building workshops, from April 2025 to November 2025, which will explain the necessity of a conducive macro-economic framework for decent work and social protection to address economic, demographic and ecological transformations, highlight the need for policy coherence and integrated policy approaches, and explain different social protection policies towards poverty reduction, increases in formalization and the greening of economies, among others. The sessions are based on the ILO-ACTRAV’s Social Protection Resource Package, the ILO Employment Policy Action Facility and other relevant ILO and ILO-ACTRAV tools and publications.
