Achieving Universal Social Protection: Pathways to Inclusive Financing for Development

The International Labour Organization (ILO) invites you to a side-event on “Achieving Universal Social Protection: Pathways to Inclusive Financing for Development” that will take place at the margins of the 2024 Financing for Development Forum.

New ILO estimates of the financing gaps to meet core commitments for social protection will be released at this event. Additionally, experts and panelists from Member States and the United Nations system will share insights on how to expand the fiscal space for social protection into national financing plans, leveraging resources, both domestically and internationally, to build and strengthen universal and sustainable social protection systems.
