Ist Meeting of European Labour Court Judges (Szeged, Hungary)

The First Meeting of European Labour Court Judges was held in September 1984, in Szeged, Hungary.

The meeting allowed the participants to share their experience and problems and exchange views on a number of matters of common interest concerning the role and functioning of their institutions.

Initiating committee:

Judge Ake Bouvin, President of the Labour Court of Sweden

Participants:

Judges of courts from ten countries: Finland, France, the Federal Republic of Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The meeting was also attended by observers from Canada.

Judges from Belgium, Ireland and the United Kingdom could not participate in the meeting but submitted papers on the labour court system in their respective countries.
