Using its global, macro-sectoral econometric model, E3ME, it is a global leader in the modelling of the economic and employment impacts of climate change mitigation policy.

  2. Economic Policy and Competitiveness Research Center

    The Economic Policy and Competitiveness Research Center (EPCRC) is a politically independent, non-profit think tank, established in 2010 with a dedication to economic policy research and advocacy. It is driven to enhance Mongolia’s national economic competitiveness by using globally-accepted research practices and robust data. Since 2014, it has been involved in promoting green economy in Mongolia.

  3. Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy (Reutgers)

    The Bloustein School seeks to improve our increasingly urbanized and interconnected world by exploring planning approaches and public policy solutions that are healthier, greener, fairer, and generate greater prosperity than do current practices. The engagement in economic and employment modelling of the transition to a green economy is undertaken in the Rutgers Economic Advisory Service (R/ECON™) and the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development.

    The Global Institute for Sustainable Prosperity (GISP) is an independent public policy think-tank dedicated to the promotion of interdisciplinary research in the service of an improved quality of life for all members of society.

  5. GWS - Institute of Economic Structures Research

    The Institute of Economic Structures Research (GWS) is a private, independent economic research and business and policy consultancy organisation. Its goal is to provide objective, impartial, factual consultancy to aid social transformation and development processes.

  6. Institute for Global Environmental Strategies

    The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) is based in Japan and engages in collaborative research and outreach working to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, resilient, shared, inclusive Asia-Pacific region, both across borders and within the world at large.

  7. Industrial Ecology Programme, Norwegian University of Science and Technology

    The Industrial Ecology (IndEcol) Programme studies the material side of the economy and society and investigates how resource use contributes to welfare, as well as how and where the environmental impacts occur. The IndEcol has extensive experience on research within the field of Life Cycle Assessment, material flow analysis, and environmental applications of input-output analysis.

  8. Laboratory of Environmental and Urban Economics

    The Laboratory of Environmental and Urban Economics (LEURE) at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) is specialized in research in environmental policies and in particular in climate change economics. The LEURE has developed and used several economic models applied to climate change issues. 

  9. Labor Center Green Economy Program (UC Berkeley)

    The Green Economy Program at UC Berkeley's Center for Labor Research and Education (Labor Center), a major research arm of the University, responds to the University's need to take a leading position with respect to the economic and employment changes that will accompany systemic adjustment to climate change. The programme conducts research on issues of job creation, quality, access, and training in the emergent green economy.

  10. National Council of Applied Economic Research

    Established in 1956, the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) is India’s oldest and largest independent, non-profit, economic policy research institute. It undertakes policy research for government ministries, multilateral agencies, particular industrial sectors, and other organisations.

  11. New Climate Institute

    New Climate Institute supports research and implementation of action against climate change around the globe. It generates and shares knowledge on international climate negotiations, tracking climate action, climate and development, climate finance and carbon market mechanisms. It connects up-to-date research with the real world decision making processes, making it possible to increase ambition in acting against climate change and contribute to finding sustainable and equitable solutions.

  12. PEOPLE OF GOOD HEART

    PEOPLE OF GOOD HEART is a multi- facet non- governmental organization in special consultative status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) organs of united nations since 2017. Its areas of operations include sustainable house, sustainable medicare, sustainable rural developments, sustainable youth and women empowerment and disaster risk reduction advocacy and education.

  13. Philippine Institute for Development Studies

    The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) is organized as a nonstock, non-profit government corporation established in 1977. PIDS serves as the Philippine government’s socioeconomic policy think tank. Since its establishment, the Institute has been committed in conducting evidence-based research with the aim to assist policymakers and planners in crafting development policies, plans, and programs.

  14. SINTEF

    SINTEF is a broad, multidisciplinary not-for-profit research organisation with international top-level expertise in the fields of technology, the natural sciences, medicine and the social sciences. It conducts contract R&D as a partner for the private and public sectors, and it is one of the largest contract research institutions in Europe. Its vision is Technology for a better society.

  15. South African Research Chair in Industrial Development

    The South African Research Chair in Industrial Development was awarded to Professor Fiona Tregenna, who is the Chair holder and leads the programme. The Chair is hosted at the University of Johannesburg and the programme commenced in January 2016. Essentially, it is a research and capacity-building programme in the field of industrial development.

  16. TERI School of Advanced Studies

    The TERI School of Advanced Studies is the first of its kind in India to dedicate itself to the study of environment, energy and natural sciences for sustainable development. The University is a centre for higher learning and offers only post-graduate and doctoral programmes, in areas related to Public Policy & Sustainable Development, Environmental Studies, Natural Resources Management, and other related fields.

  18. Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR)

    The Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR) is a think tank under the Ministry of National Development Planning (MNDP) and whose mandate is to support government, the private sector, civil society and other stakeholders in Zambia on evidence-based policy advice through conducting research and policy analysis.
