Pathways to financial inclusion for refugees and migrants: Empowering communities for a better future

On 5 October 2023, the ILO participated in a panel discussion during the 2023 Building Bridges week, focussing on access to finance for refugees and migrants.

Access to finances is an essential aspect of socioeconomic development. However, refugees and migrants face challenges in accessing finances, limiting their ability to participate fully in society. To address this issue, our event aims to explore pathways to financial inclusion for refugees and migrants, empowering communities for a better future.

Speakers: Yousra Hamed (Technical Specialist at the ILO's Social Finance Programme), Rooh Savar (Welcome Place), Carmen Hett (UNHCR), Francesco Di Salvo (World Bank) and Alexandre Maaza (Cardano Foundation).
