The central objective of the project is to create decent jobs for young men and women in disadvantaged regions through the promotion of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) and its organizations.

The central objective of the project is to create decent jobs for young men and women in disadvantaged regions through the promotion of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) and its organizations. To this end, in complementarity with the ILO actions currently underway in Tunisia, the project will aim at implementing the following two components.

Component 1: This component aims to improve the regional governance of the SSE through the establishment of a regional platform for coordinating SSE stakeholders.

Component 2: At the level of the target governorate identified in close collaboration with the stakeholders, the project will set up an entrepreneurial approach to promote the creation of SSE projects. In this context, the project will provide technical and financial support for the creation of at least 10 SSE projects involving women and/or young people either as majority members of the SSE organizations or as direct beneficiaries of these projects.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg. For more information, see the ILO Development Cooperation Dashboard.
