Within the framework of the project “Employment and Local Development Integrated in Comoros” (EDLIC), a training of trainers (ToT) workshop on the ILO’s Think.Coop and Start.Coop tools was organized in Moroni, Comoros from 26 June to 5 July 2019.

The training was an accompanying measure of a programme to open up agricultural areas by constructing rural roads through the high labour intensive (HIMO) strategy. This programme is part of a development plan of large farm areas managed by the Ministry of Agriculture with the support of the ILO.

The objective of the training workshop is to develop skills of Comorian experts to support farmers in setting up and managing their cooperatives. It brought together 15 participants from private sector support institutions and NGOs.
