ILO maps out how Public Employment Services are using technology to improve service delivery
The global survey on the “Use of technology by public employment services (PES)” is part of the future of work agenda and was applied with support from the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES) in 69 PES and 64 countries covering all ILO regions.
Results reflect that all surveyed PES provide services online such as client’s registration to search and apply for jobs, with nearly one third of these now also offering AI-driven solutions.
The impact of COVID-19 has reinforced this trend, which is likely to continue once the crisis has passed.
