Rapid labour force survey of Covid19 impact. Wave 2

This page presents the findings of a rapid phone survey conducted in Ethiopia during the period 2020-21 to monitor the evolving labour market impact of the COVID19 pandemic. Designed in line with the ILO Statistical Department’s guidance for rapid surveys on the impact of COVID19 on the labour market, the exercise was conducted by the ILO and the Ethiopia’s Jobs Creation Commission. Data were collected in four waves from mobile phone owners through a Random Digit Dialling (RDD) method. The information gathered portrays the situation of respondents before and during the different phases of the crisis, and constitutes a useful reference for policy making towards a job-rich, inclusive recovery.
