Diagnostics on the employment impacts of COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic has created the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression and is having a devastating impact on jobs and unemployment. To help countries undertake immediate, real-time support in assessing the impact of the Covid-19 crisis and related policy responses, the ILO has developed guidelines for conducting rapid diagnostics. Rapid assessments aim at helping countries assess the impact of the crisis on employment in general and for specific segments of the labour force – women, migrant workers and refugees, and young people – and reviewing existing policy responses, their objectives and expected impacts, and identifying existing gaps in policy implementation.
