Forced labour and human trafficking

Since the beginning of hostilities, millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes and look for work in other regions of Ukraine and abroad.

To reduce the risks of trafficking and forced labour, the ILO Project supported national partners in raising awareness among displaced people, particularly women with children, through:

• Development and distribution of posters, leaflets/e-leaflets and other information materials on indicators of forced labour, precautionary measures, safety rules and contacts of hotlines (in Ukraine and abroad).
• Information and capacity-building support of the SLS labour inspectors, to equip them to counsel and advise displaced persons on the risks of trafficking and forced labour.
• Translation into Ukrainian and dissemination of the ILO publications on combating forced labour and human trafficking.
