ILO/UN Mongolia Meeting on Promoting Decent Work with a focus on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work

The meeting aims at a greater awareness of the ILO work and priorities among the UN colleagues in Mongolia; and more and expanded engagements in promoting decent work and contributing SDGs between the UN agencies and the ILO social partners in the country.

ILO constituents are introduced.
The ILO will organize this event to facilitate information sharing and discussion among the UN agencies and the ILO constituents for better coordination, enhanced cooperation and engagements. Specific objectives of the meeting to:


  • advocate ILO mandate and share information about what ILO does in Mongolia;
  • transfer knowledge about decent work and FPRW, and show where to get important information;
  • introduce the ILO constituents for better collaboration with the UN sister agencies in the context of RBSA project for their increased visibility and participation in UN.
Meeting participants
About a hundred participants from the UN agencies and their associated projects will attend the meeting. In addition, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP), Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF) and Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) will be invited to give a brief introduction of their mandates. The Decent Work for Youth Network in Mongolia will be invited.
