- Enhance knowledge of employers’ organisations and enterprises on international labour standards (ILS), and strengthen the application of ILS at the enterprise level and in general in the supply chains.
- Raise awareness on the importance of socially responsible labour practices for the competitiveness, productivity and access to new markets; emphasizing on the recommendations of the ILO MNE declaration, and the policy coherence with the UNGPs and the OECD guidelines for MNEs.
- Promote the implementation of socially responsible business practices and decent work along global supply chains of the companies participating in this workshop.
- Discuss opportunities and challenges for international cooperation under the “Belt and Road Initiative”(BRI) and how to mainstream international labour standards and RBC from the perspective of labour.
