Capacity-building workshops for 96 labour inspectors held by the CONMIGO Project

THAMM contributes to a series of capacity-building workshops for 96 labour inspectors held by the CONMIGO Project

The ILO within the framework of the THAMM Programme in Egypt contributed with a session on fair recruitment and labour inspection and the relevant labour standards, to each of the four rounds of workshops held by the“Cooperation on Migration Governance (CONMIGO)” project implemented by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) that aim to “Strengthen the Capacity of Labour Inspectors on Combating Illegal/Irregular Migration and Related Issues”. Both projects are funded by the European Union Trust Fund for Stability and Addressing the Root causes of Irregular Migration and Displaced Persons in Africa (EUTF).

The four rounds were held in Cairo (1 round), Minya (1 round) and Luxor (2 rounds), throughought December 2022-February 2023 and targeted an overall number of 96 particpants (80 males and 16 females).
