Promoting green jobs for youth

Green jobs are decent jobs that contribute to preserve or restore the environment. They are the response to two major challenges of our time: how to deal with climate change and environmental degradation, and how to deliver development and decent work.

Green jobs can also help lift millions of workers out of poverty and promote social inclusion. Artists have partnered with the ILO to promote green economy as the key to a sustainable future.

Award-winning musician, Pharrell Williams, has called on governments, employers and workers to ensure that green, decent jobs are at the top of the global agenda.
