About the event

Viet Nam will soon enter uncharted territory with the implementation of the 2019 Labor Code. It has the potential to bring about important changes in labor-management relations and possibly a new era for independent trade unions at the enterprise level.

Progress has been the result of continuous efforts by reformists within the system supported by labor provisions of new free trade agreements and the engagement and support of international actors such as ILO and USDOL.

Will it lead to decent work for Vietnamese workers?
What other changes to the world of work will it bring?
