  1. Japan and ILO Signed Memorandum of Cooperation

    13 May 2017

    During his second official visit to Japan from 10 to 13 May 2017, ILO Director-General Guy Ryder had meetings with constituents, delivered speeches in several events, signed Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and consolidated the framework of collaboration with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

  2. Tokyo 2020 and the ILO agree unique partnership to promote Decent Work

    12 May 2017

    The Organizing Committee and the UN Agency for the world of work will sign an agreement to promote socially responsible labour practices among the delivery partners of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.

  3. Labour Policy Forum on the Future of Work

    The ILO and the Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training (JILPT) co-organize a symposium on the future of work in Japan. The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, The Japan Association for Advancement of ILO Activities, Japanese Trade Union Confederation JTUC-RENGO and Japan Business Federation will attend the forum.

  4. ILO and Japan International Cooperation Agency strengthen their partnership to promote waste management in the Pacific

    The Memorandum of Cooperation signed between ILO and JICA will contribute to improve solid waste management in Pacific Island countries through a stronger partnership in the field of occupational safety and health in solid waste management and green jobs.
