World Day for Occupational Safety and Health - Promoting safety and health in a green economy

On 28 April 2012, the ILO Country Office for South Pacific Island Countries (CO-Suva) observes World Day for Occupational Safety and Health.

Each year the ILO observes World Day for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
ILO Country Office for the South Pacific Island Countries (CO-Suva) observed the Day with signing of an extension to the MOU agreement between the Governments of Fiji and Papua New Guinea (PNG). The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed to seal a landmark deal for Fiji to provide technical assistance in the field of occupational safety and health to PNG. This south-south cooperation is a first of its kind facilitated by CO-Suva.
