ILO/JICA Waste Management Follow-up Review Meeting in Lautoka, Fiji

A follow-up review meeting on the progress of occupational safety and health interventions in waste collection in the Lautoka city council, Fiji.

Following the development of the WARM (Work Adjustment for Recycling and Managing Waste) manual for Fiji waste collectors, a follow-up review meeting for the ILO/JICA project took place in Lautoka, Fiji on 6 June. Dr Ton That Khai, ILO OSH specialist together with Mr Amano, JICA manager for the Pacific regional waste management project met with the Lautoka city council contractors and witnessed for themselves the many improved changes and behaviour by the waste collectors.
