This report served as background paper for the 13th Session of the Joint ILO–UNESCO Committee of Experts on the Application of the Recommendations concerning Teaching Personnel(CEART).

It focuses on the impact of new technologies on the teaching profession in the context of the future of work, and explores emerging skills needs, new pedagogical approaches, and the future management and governance of teachers.
