This workshop took place on 17-19 November 2007 at the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The Workshop aimed to: (1) review the current situation and practices in the prevention of major industrial accidents in line with the Convention, and (2) draw up a plan of action for Saudi Arabia for the thorough implementation of the Convention. Thirty nine members participated in the Workshop. Organizations presented included, inter alia, the Ministry of Labor, General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), Saudi Aramco, Civil Defense, and Fire Authority.
