Training materials

To support the implementation of the sectoral Conventions and Recommendations, as well as to assist the improvement of working conditions at the sectoral level, a rich body of sectoral tools have been developed, translated and widely disseminated.

Training programmes are implemented at regional and national levels based on materials specifically designed to address priority issues, such as prevention of HIV and AIDS, promotion of occupational safety and health, and enforcement of labour inspection in particular sectors.

  1. On-line Training of Trainers course on PDP II (27 June to 29 July 2022)

    This TOT Course in PDP 2 aims at familiarizing participants in PDP 2 Units and qualifying participants as ILO PDP Instructors. Successful participants in the TOT Course are deemed qualified to teach PDP Units and overtime, and may be qualified by the appropriate National / Organization / Institutional Authority to become Chief Instructor to design and develop further PDP Units and to conduct the TOT Course.

  1. On-line course on the Future of Work in the Rural Economy

    This course provides an opportunity for participants to learn about a range of innovative approaches, tools and methods for promoting decent work in the rural economy in the framework of a human-centered recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. Upon completion of this self-paced learning path, a certification shall be released to participants.

  1. WASH@Work: a Self-Training Handbook (revised)

    The ILO Sectoral Policies and Governance and Tripartism Departments presents a revised version of this 2016 handbook with four self-training modules which adapt existing ILO training tools on OSH to provide workers and employers with the necessary skills to implement the general principles contained in relevant ILO instruments. The revised version includes the latest Codes of Practice and to broaden the audience to address workers and employers in the rural economy, the garment sector and others to further the goal set by the WASH4Work initiative.
