South-South exchange Sub-regional Workshop on strategies for universal health coverage

Between 20th and 22nd February, as part of an on-going ILO South-South cooperation project, line ministers from Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali and Senegal will participate in a sub-regional conference on strategies to promote and extend universal health coverage. The conference is co-hosted by the World Health Organization, and will provide an opportunity for government representatives, who are currently developing strategies to extend health coverage as part of establishing social protection floors, to learn from the experiences of two other countries in the South: India and Thailand.
