8271 MEAT- AND FISH-PROCESSING-MACHINE OPERATORS
 


    Meat- and fish-processing-machine operators operate and monitor machines used to slaughter animals, trim carcasses, prepare standard meat or fish cuts, and manufacture meat and fish products.

    Tasks include -

    (a) operating and monitoring machines used to slaughter animals and to cut carcasses or fish into standard pieces;

    (b) operating and monitoring machines used to mince and mix meat or fish;

    (c) operating and monitoring machines used to process meat and fish and manufacture various meat and fish products, such as sausages, smoked meat or smoked fish;

    (d) operating and monitoring machines used to produce canned or frozen meat and fish dishes;

    (e) performing related tasks;

    (f) supervising other workers.
