8240 WOOD-PRODUCTS MACHINE OPERATORS
 


    Wood-products machine operators operate and monitor automatic or semi-automatic woodworking machines which perform repetitive work and are always set up by woodworking-machine setters.

    Tasks include -

    (a) operating and monitoring one or more previously set up machines for sawing, shaping, boring, planing, turning or carving wood;

    (b) performing related tasks;

    (c) supervising other workers.
