MINOR GROUP 315: SAFETY AND QUALITY INSPECTORS
 


    Safety and quality inspectors, on behalf of the government or industrial and other enterprises, examine the implementation of rules and regulations relating to fire prevention and other hazards, occupational safety, protection of health and the environment, safety of production processes, and goods and services produced, used or sold, as well as those relating to the quality standards and specifications of manufacturers.

    Tasks performed usually include: ensuring that buildings and other structures comply with approved building plans, grading and zoning laws and fire regulations; advising on and inspecting fire-prevention systems; investigating fire sites to determine the cause of fire; inspecting industrial and other enterprises on the grounds of occupational safety, and safety of production processes, as well as of goods produced, used or sold; ensuring compliance with health and environment protection rules and regulations; ensuring compliance with the quality standards and specifications of manufacturers. Supervision of other workers may be included.
