3133 MEDICAL EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
 


    Medical equipment operators control technical equipment used to diagnose or treat illnesses and disorders.

    Tasks include -

    (a) controlling technical equipment used to diagnose illnesses and disorders of the nervous system and organs, or in radiography or anaesthetics;

    (b) applying knowledge of technical equipment and some principles and practices of medicine in order to identify and solve problems arising in the course of their work and maintain equipment;

    (c) performing related tasks;

    (d) supervising other workers.
