    “Made in Jordan": EU trade agreement creates opportunities in manufacturing sector

    Two ILO projects financed by the European Union and the Kingdom of the Netherlands seek to find ways to boost employment for Syrian refugees and Jordanians and increase Jordanian manufacturing exports to the European market as part of the implementation of the Jordan-EU Agreement on the relaxation of the “rules of origin.”

    ILO and Sweden join forces to promote decent work in Asian garment supply chains

    The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the ILO signed a Cooperation Agreement to start a new project to improve working conditions and productivity for women and men workers and enhance the sustainability of the garment industry in Asia.

    Swiss high-level delegation visits wood processing company

    The delegation with representatives from the Swiss Government, employers and workers’ organizations visited Tien Hung Furniture Co., a Binh Duong-based wood processing company which has sucessfully participated in SCORE Training.

    Asia-Pacific wage growth stalls but stays ahead of the rest of the world

    The latest ILO Global Wage Report 2018/19 finds that the global wage growth fell to its lowest rate since 2008. Although remaining above the global rate, wage growth in Asia also slowed down in 2017.
