    Briefing on growth and employment in the post-2015 development agenda

    On 13 December 2012 the Permanent Mission of Japan, the United Nations Development Programme and the International Labour Organization organized a briefing on Growth and Employment in the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Participants included permanent and observer missions to the United Nations, UN agencies and civil society organizations.

    Global South-South Development Forum 2012

    The 2012 Global South-South Development Expo in Vienna (Austria) placed the spotlight on Energy and Climate Change. The ILO Solution Forum on Energy, Climate Change and Decent Work (20 November) covered inclusive access to decent work, follow-up to Rio+20, green jobs, social protection and the promotion of workers’ rights in the field of renewable energy and climate change.

    Training "Identifying and investigating cases of forced labour and trafficking"

    This course will train participants to better identify and investigate cases of forced labour and trafficking in persons for labour exploitation. It will address different stages of the investigative process, including detecting signs, inspecting workplaces, interviewing victims, and gathering other evidence. The course will focus on forced labour occurring in the private sector (including of textile, agriculture, and domestic workers), but will not specifically address sexual exploitation.
