    Constituents from Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey came together in Jordan to discuss the promotion of decent work for Syrian refugees and host communities in the region, as part of a South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) initiative between the four countries, aimed at exchanging knowledge, skills, resources and technical know-how.

    The workshop brought together tripartite constituents from six Arab States to exchange country experiences to integrate sustainable development goals, decent work and employment into the national policy planning processes.

    ILO and Germany pen agreement to bolster decent work for Syrian refugees and host communities

    13 March 2019

    The ILO and Germany’s Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development have signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding which seeks to support job creation in response to the refugee crisis and forced displacement in Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey.

    ILO and H&M Group expand partnership

    The ILO and H&M Group have broadened their cooperation to further improve working conditions and productivity in textile and garment industry supply chains. This partnership will help drive both the Decent Work and Sustainable Development Goal Agendas in a key global sector.

    “Made in Jordan": EU trade agreement creates opportunities in manufacturing sector

    Two ILO projects financed by the European Union and the Kingdom of the Netherlands seek to find ways to boost employment for Syrian refugees and Jordanians and increase Jordanian manufacturing exports to the European market as part of the implementation of the Jordan-EU Agreement on the relaxation of the “rules of origin.”
