United Kingdom-ILO Cooperation

As a founder Member, the United Kingdom has been a valued partner of the ILO since 1919. Throughout this long-standing partnership, the UK has ratified 87 Conventions, including all eight of the fundamental Conventions. Through its Department for International Development (DFID) and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), the UK is also a major contributor to the ILO's development cooperation programme.
