    16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

    For the 16 days of Activism, ILO Office to the United Nations continues to highlight ILO Convention 190, Violence and Harassment. Since the start of the year 2022, Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Central African Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, San Marino, Spain and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland have joined ILO by ratifying the Convention and committed to ensuring a world of work free from violence and harassment.

    ILO welcomes COP27 progress on social dimensions of climate change

    The ILO presence at COP27 focused on highlighting the importance of a just transition in climate change responses, and included new initiatives on youth, financing and knowledge exchange.

  • IPPN Knowledge Café: Towards Operationalizing the Global Accelerator for Jobs and Social Protection

    The Global Accelerator for Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions was launched by the UN Secretary-General in September 2021, with the aim of helping countries recover from the unprecedented losses of jobs and livelihoods and cost-of-living crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
