Integration segment (30 March - 1 April)

The second Integration Segment of the Economic and Social Council focused on “achieving sustainable development through employment creation and decent work for all.”  The segment discussed how the creation of good quality jobs could be a tool for promoting the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable development. It also served as a platform to identify policy choices and possible trade-offs that could arise from an integrated approach. Read more

    The third and final day of the 2015 ECOSOC Integration Segment closed with a high-level panel on the challenge of creating 600 million jobs over the next decade while also promoting environmental sustainability. The day also included discussions on matching education and skills to market demands, and on financing for development and partnerships for Decent Work.
