Events and meetings

The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) organizes and takes part in a number of events and meetings in the sub-region. Below is a list of upcoming and past events. Any queries should be sent to the office by email.

  1. HIV/AIDS Project Dissemination Workshop

    9 - 11 September 2009

    The ILO Subregional Office for South Asia, New Delhi hosted HIV & AIDS project Dissemination Workshop in September 2009. Supported by U.S. Department of Labor, ILO's project "Prevention of HIV/AIDS in the World of Work: A Tripartite Response" has been operational in India since 2001.

  2. Experts Group Meeting on Financial Crisis

    27 July 2009

    Tripartite discussion on ongoign activities to look at the effects of the crisis.

  3. National Consultation on Decent Work for Domestic Workers

    15 - 16 July 2009

    National conference brought different actors associated with domestic workers to provide feedback/concerns on legislations for the proposed convention on domestic workers to HQ.

  4. National Consultation on Current Employment Strategies and Women's Work

    6 - 7 July 2009

    National conference with government, workers, employers, academics and civil society to highlight basically the value of women's work and its special characteristics of women workers.

  5. National Training on "Sustainable Enterprise Promotion Through Good Workplace Practices in Human Resource Management and Workplace Practices"

    4 July 2009

    The purpose of the training is to raise productivity and improve enterprise performance as a means to promote sustainable enterprise agenda discussed in the International Labour Conference.

  6. Launch of the Skill Development Initiative for Domestic Workers/Household Assistant in India

    4 July 2009

    The Delhi Government, the Ministry of Labour and Employment and ILO have joined hands to kick-start a pilot training programme to skill and re-skill domestic workers/household assistants across the Delhi and Noida region.

  7. Experts Group Meeting on Financial Crisis

    30 June 2009

    Tripartite meeting with inter-ministerial presence, to disseminate the findings of the rapid and sectoral assessments.

  8. Three Days Training of Trade Unions in Construction Sector

    29 June - 1 July 2009

    The objective of the training was to build capacity of trade unions in construction sector to take up intervention on HIV and AIDS among the informal workers.

  9. Expert Group Meeting on Financial Crisis

    24 June 2009

    To present the findings to the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

  10. Skills Development for Domestic Workers

    8 April 2009

    To discuss and review the first draft of the Trainers Guide/Manual for implementation Level 1 domestic help training programme.
