    The ILO, in cooperation with the Directorate General Factory Advisory Service and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE), Government of India is organizing a Seminar on Safety and Health in Ports.

  3. Building a Social Protection Floor for India : Capacity Building Workshop for Trade Unions

    15 - 16 November 2010

    The United Nations Chief Executive Board (CEB), in April 2009, launched the Social Protection Floor Initiative as one of the nine key responses to the global economic and financial crisis. this initiative is co-led by the International Labour Office and the World Health Organization. The proposed two-day workshop is aimed to build the capacity of the workers organizations in India to have a better understanding of the Social Protection Floor concepts and enable them to participate in all future dialogues with the Government on social protection issues.

    A two-day consultation workshop with Trade Unions in India at Chennai to (a) facilitate better understanding of the various elements covered under the proposed texts and (b) enable the trade unions to actively participate in any consultations with the Government of India.

  8. Convergence approach to prevent occurrence of Bonded Labour - Joint Programme organized by Government of India, Government of Orissa and ILO

    The workshop aims to deliberate upon the working and living conditions of the poor and vulnerable workers in the unorganized sectors, and the social safety net that need to be provided for them.

  9. GOI/ILO Preparatory Workshop on Fishing Convention C-188

    31 August - 1 September 2010

    This preparatory workshop is being organized at the request of the Governemnt of India to sensitize the social partners and the state governments of coastal states of India on the Convention 188 as a first step to initiate promotion of ratification.

  10. Training-of-Trainers’ Workshop on enforcement of industrial relations laws and conciliation skills

    25 - 27 August 2010

    Within the framework of the Project on Strengthening Labour Inspection Services in India, the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE), the Department of Labour Resources, A N Sinha Institute of Social Studies and the ILO will be organizing a Training-of-Trainers’ Workshop on enforcement of Industrial Relations Laws and Conciliation Skills at Patna, Bihar on 25 - 27 August 2010.
