Events and meetings

The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) organizes and takes part in a number of events and meetings in the sub-region. Below is a list of upcoming and past events. Any queries should be sent to the office by email.

  1. Master Trainers' Training Programme on HIV and AIDS

    5 - 6 April 2011

    The ILO HIV and AIDS project is conducting a two-day Master Trainers' Training Programme on HIV and AIDS for Pepsico, a corporate partner.

  2. Workers Education Programme on ILO - Decent Work and core conventions to encourage promotion of ratification and proper enforcement of the ratified conventions

    30 - 31 March 2011

    Two Days training workshop for rural trade Union leaders, cadres, SHG members and other potential women leaders from the respective partner Unions - 41 members (35 project staff and 6 SHG leaders) trained as master trainers on Decent Work & ILO core Conventions.

  3. National tripartite consultation on promoting registration of construction workers under building and other construction Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1996

    23 - 24 March 2011

    The objective of the meeting was to share the experiences amongst all stakeholders on the implementation of the welfare schemes under the Act and to have a strategic plan to expand social security to more construction workers.

  4. Training of Trainers on SCORE Module 1

    22 - 24 March 2011

    Under the SCORE programme, ILO will build the capacity of intermediary institutions that provide services to local enterprises. In this context, ILO is organizing the 1st Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on SCORE Module 1: ‘Workplace Cooperation’.

  5. Training of Trainers on Work Improvement in Small Enterprises (WISE)

    21 - 25 March 2011

    The workshop will introduce the WISE methodology in the small and medium-sized enterprises in the state of Maharashtra in India.

  7. International Women's Day Celebrations - Women’s Mela (Fair) showcasing Women Workers issues in particular domestic workers in Tamil Nadu

    Demonstrate Trade Union joint action on promotion of gender equality and gender mainstreaming in comemoration of International Women's Day.

  8. One Day Zonal Level TOT programme for the NTUs on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and Core conventions

    22 February 2011

    Capacity Building for the 6 NTUs in Tamil Nadu on Fundamental principles and rights at work and Social Justice Declaration through promotion of ratification of the Core Conventions 87, 98, 138 & 182 and better implementation and enforcement of the four conventions C. 29, C.100, C. 105, C. 111 already ratified.

  9. Asian inaugural planning meeting of the ILO Global Business and Disability Network

    17 February 2011

    The meeting is the Network’s third inaugural planning meeting, which follows the European and US-based meetings held in Paris and New York in November-December 2010. The Bangalore meeting will be sponsored by Wipro Limited at their corporate office in Doddakannelli, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore.

  10. ILO/SKILLS-AP/Japan Regional Workshop and Study Programme on “Addressing Skills Mismatch through Public Private Partnerships”

    14 - 18 February 2011

    The workshop aims to assist tripartite delegations from selected countries in the region to discuss and find effective ways to develop partnerships between training institutions and industries in making the skills development system more responsive to labour market needs and to reduce skills mismatch.
