The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) organizes and takes part in a number of events and meetings in the sub-region. Below is a list of upcoming and past events. Any queries should be sent to the office by email.

  1. Project Advisory Committee (PAC) - Fourth Meeting

    24 June 2021

    The fourth meeting of the Project Advisory Committee (PAC) was held virtually between the EU and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and implementing partners – ILO, ICMPD and ICM.

  2. Safety + Health for all for the plantation workers in the tea sector in Assam

    7 June 2021

    A virtual consultation was organized with the Central and State Trade Unions (TUs) to discuss the way forward in improving the Occupational Safety and Health of the plantation workers the tea sector of Assam. It focused on both formal and informal workers including the small tea growers in the value chain.

  3. 2nd UN South Asia Forum on Business and Human Rights

    17 - 19 March 2021

    This second regional forum aims at raising awareness about business and human rights issues in South Asia and facilitating the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).

  4. Annual tripartite progress review of India Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) 2018-22

    11 March 2021

    An annual review meeting of India DWCP was held to review the progress and plan a way forward for year 2021

  5. Webinar on COVID-19: Practical Preventive Measures and Achievements in Context to the State of Kerala

    19 February 2021

    ILO DWT/CO-New Delhi with government of Kerala organized the second webinar to discuss on various aspects of preventive measures to be taken at workplaces and achievements.

  1. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

    25 November - 10 December 2020

    ILO supports the global campaign, which began on Wednesday 25 November -International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women - and will run until 10 December, which is Human Rights Day.

  2. Stakeholder consultations on developing pre-departure handbook for Indian workers migrating to the EU

    11 August - 5 September 2020

    The ILO under the EU-India Cooperation and Dialogue on Migration and Mobility is, in partnership with India Centre for Migration, is organizing a series of virtual meetings with stakeholders to take inputs for the development of a pre-departure handbook.

  3. Webinar on COVID-19: Return to work and Preventive Measures in context to the State of Kerala

    The webinar discusses various aspects of return to work, especially on the preventive measures to be taken at workplaces.

  4. ILO Webinar on COVID-19: Protecting Workers in the Workplace in Asia and Pacific

    23 July 2020

    This webinar will offer trade unionists in Asia-Pacific an opportunity to discuss “Pillar 3: Protecting workers in the workplace” while exploring possible actions and strategies to influence, shape and support successful policy outcomes linked to the ILO Policy Framework.

  5. ILO Webinar on COVID-19:Supporting Enterprises, Jobs and Income in Asia and Pacific

    16 July 2020

    This webinar, part of the ACTRAV Webinar Series 2.0, will explore how to cushion the devastating consequences for the loss of income many workers face during lockdown as well as the policies in place such as wage subsidies, job retention schemes and other efforts in terms of short-term support and extension of social protection. Trade union strategies that can influence, shape and support these actions will also be discussed.
